We are looking to recruit an Audit and Accounts Manager with charity audit experience to join our team.
Reporting to the Partners, your portfolio will be split between audit and accounts clients and you will be responsible for managing your own clients from a range of different industries.
Your audit portfolio will include a mix of commercial clients and some of Scotland’s leading charitable and local not for profit organisations. As part of this role you will be looking beyond the core audit essentials and will be providing your clients with advice and management information that will really help them grow and develop.
This role will suit an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager. You will be encouraged to share ideas and will play a key role in our Ayrshire audit team at an exciting time in our development.

Your responsibilities:
Lead, plan and deliver and complete a broad range of commercial and charity audits, liaising
with the team and client where necessary.
Monitor and control all staff involved in the audit team/process.
Preparation and completion of financial statements for limited companies, partnerships,
sole traders and all other businesses as appropriate.
Drafting corporation tax returns for limited companies and self-assessment tax returns for
individuals/partnerships to be reviewed by the tax manager.
Acting as a key point of contact for clients and building/maintaining client relationships.
Undertaking full responsibility for the proper maintenance of a client’s accounting, related
obligations and liaising with the Tax team where necessary.
Coaching and developing trainees, ensuring full instructions are given and all tasks
undertaken are subject to review.
Regular communication with partners and senior managers in connection with progress on
all assignments.
Regular updating of accounts and tax workflows to ensure all stages of job/assignment
progression are properly recorded.
Undertake internal and external training appropriate to your professional body, your role and career progression.
Ad hoc and project work as required and any other duties reasonably required by the company.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
ICAS or ACCA qualified/newly-qualified.
Experience of managing a broad portfolio of charity (essential) and commercial audit
clients.
Experience of working in an accountancy practice environment is preferred.
Technically proficient in audit and accounts.
Experience of using CCH Practice Management is preferred but not essential.
Experience of working with cloud accounting technology, i.e. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage Online.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build rapport with people at all levels.
Excellent advisory skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise.
Ability to organise and plan you own work.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
Strong sense of responsibility and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
UK Driving licence.
