Termed the December and January Business Support Top Up, there will be 2 grant awards and like previous grants last year, will be administered by local authorities.
The December and January Business Support Top Up – Hospitality
This will be a one-off grant of:
Eligible businesses are:
There is no need to apply for this, as local authorities will directly contact businesses who previously were awarded funds through the Strategic Framework Business Fund early last year. This has already started to happen and will take the form of an email, which will contain a link asking business owners to register or complete an online declaration and upload a recent bank statement to confirm account details for payment. This needs to be done by 31st January, and we advise hospitality business owners to ensure they check email inboxes and spam folders for details on this.
Any businesses who previously haven’t claimed under the Strategic Framework Business Fund and were trading at 8th December 2021, will need to contact their local authority to be assessed for eligibility.
The January Business Support Top Up – Hospitality & Leisure Fund
This grant is aimed at the hospitality and leisure sectors and is one-off payment to businesses impacted by the enforced additional restrictions introduced on 27th December 2021.
Hospitality Businesses
Leisure Businesses
Eligible businesses are:
There are additional grant funds created on the back of the Scottish Government support pledge from December. Once again, businesses who have been recipients of grants previously, will be contacted by their local authority to register where eligible.
