Mobile & Home-Based Close Contact Services Fund

A one-off grant of £4,000 is available for all eligible applicants.

Eligibility

• Have been operating in business since before 17 March 2020.
• Have lost income because of the Covid-19 restrictions.
• 50% of total income earned must come from business related activities.
• Have not benefited from any other business grant support ie. received business grants because of operating from fixed business premises.
• Are resident in Scotland.

The following services are deemed to be close contact and eligible for this grant:

• beauty and nail services (including make-up, tanning and spray-tanning and nail treatment)
• hair removal services (including hairdressing, barbering, shaving, waxing, eyebrow threading).
• body modification services (including tattooing, piercing, botox)
• fashion services (including dress-fitting, tailoring and personal shopping)
• art services (including indoor photography and portrait painting)
• massage therapies
• spa and wellness services (including aromatherapy, exfoliation, dermatology and skincare, facial, hydrotherapy, pedicure)
• Several alternative medicine services, including Acupuncture, Hypotherapy, Reflexology, etc are also eligible.

Services such as osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic are not eligible for this fund however, as these are defined as health services which are not subject to current Covid-19 restrictions.

This grant fund is yet to open but will do so in the coming days.  Similar to the Self-Employed Hardship fund, it will only be available for a four-week period.
